Vendakka Pachadi(Lady'sfinger)
This is a nice side dish for molakoottal
Ingredients
Tamarind – small ball
oil - 2 tsp
Grind:
Coconut – ½ cup(grated)
Green chillies – 2
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Season:
musturd seeds -1 tsp
Redchilli – 1
Curry leaves -3-4
Oil – 1 tsp
Method
- Wash the vendakka. Pat it with a tissue paper. Cut it into thin round pieces.
- Add 1 tsp oil in a pan and add the vendakka. fry it. Add salt and turmeric pdr.Fry it till it starts to become light brown.
- Make tamarind juice and add it to the fried vendakka. And let it cook for 7-10 mnts.
- Meanwhile, grind coconut, green chillies and 1 tsp mustard seeds adding water in the mixie.
- Add the ground mixture to the boiling vendakka. Cook it for another 5-7 mnts.
- Season the above with mustard seeds, redchilli and curry leaves.
