Ingredients
Moong Dal-1 cup
ToorDal and
Turmeric pdr - ¼ tsp
Onion-1
Tomatoes – ½
Greenchilli-2
Ginger - small piece
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves
Seasoning
Musturd seeds – 1tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Asafeotida- a pinch
Oil/Ghee – 1 tsp
Method
- Pressure cook (3-4 whistles)all the dals together adding turmeric pdr.
- Cut the onions and tomatoes finely.Also cut the green chillies and ginger into small pieces.
- In a pan add 1 tsp oil/ghee.add mustard seed and cumin seeds.When the mustard seeds splutter add a pinch of asafeotida and onions.Fry the onions.
- Then add the green chillies,ginger and tomatoes. When the tomatoes soften add the cooked dal and salt to taste.Boil the dal in low flame.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves.
