Sweet Yam Roast


Ingredients

Yam-3
Coriander-cumin pdr-1 tsp
Pepper pdr-2 tsp
Oil- 5 tsp
Asafeotida- 2 pinches
Salt to taste
Musturd seeds-1 tsp
Curry leaves

Method

  1. Peel the Yam,Wash it and cut into small cubes .
    In a vessel add the coriander-cumin pdr ,pepper pdr salt and 2 tsp of oil close it with a lid and shake it well. Keep it for 10 mnts to marinate.
  2. In a pan add 2 tsp of oil . Add mustard seeds and curry leaves.When it splutters add asafeotida and the marinated yam.
  3. Sprinkle some water and keep it closed putting a spatula.Stir it lightly every now and then.
  4. When it become soft open the lid and add 1 tsp of oil and start roasting it in low flame.Stir it every now and then.
